2025 MINUTE MADNESS 2 “Beat The Breakup” Kuskokwim Ice Classic Rules
1) This jackpot is separate from the regular Kuskokwim Ice Classic jackpot.
2) There are 60 guesses available. Each guess represents one minute.
3) The purchase price for a minute is $100.00. An individual or a pool of individuals may purchase one or more of the 60 guesses. *See #7 for pool rules.
4) When a minute is purchased, it is “owned” by the buyer for duration of the event and not available for another person to purchase. Note that if conditions allow, additional Minute Madness “wheels” may be introduced. Each contest will have its own jackpot and set of rules.
5) Winner is determined by the person or POOL who guessed the exact minute of breakup. The MINUTE MADNESS is only based on the MINUTE of breakup. The MINUTE MADNESS does not measure the month, date or hour. If no one has guessed the exact minute of breakup, the next closest minute on either side of the exact minute will be the winning time. In the event of multiple winners, the pot will be split accordingly.
*Example: Clock stops at 5:05 pm. If no one has purchased MINUTE FIVE, and the next closest guesses are Minutes FOUR and SIX, both guesses would win as they are the closest guesses to the exact minute of breakup (and are equal minutes apart from the exact time of breakup). The two winning guesses would split the 2/3 jackpot.
6) The winner/pool will earn 2/3 of the jackpot generated by ticket sales. The Ice Classic earns 1/3.
7) POOL RULES: If you enter as a pool, please write the name of your pool on the name line and use the phone number for the pool’s point of contact. On the back of the ticket, please list each member of the pool, including the pool point of contact, and each member’s phone numbers. The pool point of contact will inform the Ice Classic about the division of the jackpot among pool members.
*Example: Pool A has four members. Pool A wins the 2/3 share of a total jackpot of $9,000. $6,000 is available for Pool A winnings. Each of the four members would be paid $1,500.00 unless specified differently by the pool point of contact.
8) All State statutes and regulations apply.
9) Deadline: Tickets will be available via phone (907-545-8483) or in person beginning at NOON on April 25, 2025. Tickets must be purchased before tripod movement stops the clock in the Kuskokwim Ice Classic shack. Once all 60 tickets are sold OR the clock stops, whichever happens first- the sales period ends.
10) No Board members or employees of BCSF are eligible to win.
11) If the winner has died, is unable to be located or refuses the prize, the next closest guess(es) will be determined as the winner.
12) Time will be determined based on the official clock. A secondary, backup clock will be used. If both of these clocks fail, the third method used to determine the winner will be the webcam time/date stamp and/or the use of technology, i.e. gps coordinates/spotting scope based on distance calculated for tripod movement to cause the clock to stop. If malfunction or another issue causes a situation where it is impossible to determine the winner using these methods, customers who purchased tickets must provide their ticket stubs and request refunds. BCSF will refund ticket purchases at the value for which they were purchased.
13) The Kuskokwim Ice Classic Committee will make other recommendations about processes and decisions on an as-needed basis and will forward those recommendations to the BCSF Board for final approval.
14) The 2025 Minute Madness 2 “Beat the Breakup” Clock will run concurrently with sales of the regular Kuskokwim Ice Classic. Should breakup occur at or before NOON on April 25, 2025, the Minute Madness will not open.
