The Clock Has Stopped – May 8, 8:40 AM

With snow on the ground and snow falling from the sky, the ice moved the tripod downriver and stopped the clock at 8:40 AM on Wednesday, May 8.

Authentication of the regular ice classic winner generally takes 24-48 hours, and the winner will be posted soon.

Minute Madness Wheel winners are:

Minute Madness 1 ($10k jackpot): Erin Haviland of Bethel
Minute Madness 2 ($10k jackpot): Katherine Martin of Atmautluak
Minute Madness 3 ($4k jackpot): Wilson Twitchell of Kasigluk

Thank you to everyone who played and we look forward to seeing and hearing from you all again next year!

2023 Ice Classic Winner!

Mona Morrow of Aniak is the winner of the 2023 Kuskokwim Ice Classic with an exact guess of May 18 at 4:48 pm.

She just earned the $19,420 jackpot! Does her name sound familiar? That’s because Mona was ALSO our Minute Madness Clock 1 winner with Minute 48! When Haley Hanson, Ice Classic Manager, called Mona from the stage at Breakup Bash today, Mona said she just had a good feeling about the minute 48 this year. It’s a good thing she trusted her instincts because by the time this is all over, she brings home $29,420 in Ice Classic winnings from the two events! We can’t imagine what the odds are of being both a Minute Madness winner AND a regular ice classic winner in the same year, but here we are with a really unique twist to a super fun year!

Congratulations, Mona- we’re so happy for you!

Tripod Down But Clock Still Ticking! Minute Madness Round 3 Opens at Noon on 5/14/23

During early morning hours of May 14, the tripod fell down -but the clock is still ticking! Regular Ice Classic sales (with a 50/50 Split the Pot jackpot!) continue.

Minute Madness Round 3 opens on Sunday, May 14 at Noon. Tickets will be sold only over the phone at 907-545-8483. Minutes are sold first come, first served, so don’t wait. Minute Madness rules can be found on the Minute Madness tab above. You can purchase a minute as a pool (group).

As for the regular Ice Classic, please remember our deadline! We take guesses up til the time the clock stops, but any submitted same-day guesses will be deemed ineligible to win (and not refunded) so it is important to not wait until it is too late to submit a valid guess. That rule states: Guesses must be submitted no later than the day before breakup occurs in order to be eligible to win.

Don’t miss your third chance to own a minute of breakup on the Minute Madness wheel or to purchase your regular Ice Classic guesses!
